I was listening to a harry potter audiobook when this question struck me, when harry aquires the memory from professor slughorn and him and dumbledore listen to it, professor slughorn tells riddle in the memory " horcruxes are a banned subject at hogwards, DUMBLEDORE is very particular about this", the flaw in this statement is that dumbledore was not headmaster at hogwards when riddle went to school there, professor dibbit was, anyone have any clarification on this, am i miss understanding the statement?

Hi i'm going to high school next year, for 13 years old I'm not really grown up, I've never really wanted a boyfriend, I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, I don't like putting on make-up, I do straighten my hair when i go outside though, will people at high school think I'm weird because I'm not grown up as much as everyone else
